Your Methodology Mapping Session

You Found What Repeats,
Now Find Out What It Adds Up To

Turn recurring pieces of your client work into a named, mapped body of work you can finally see, explain and build from.

Repetition Is The Mother Of Skill

From your Why Your Work Works exercise, you may have started noticing the same observations, decisions or moves appearing across different clients.

And if that’s the case, you’ve already answered one important question:

“Is there actually something here?”

Maybe you keep listening for the same signal.

Asking the same kind of question.

Slowing things down at the same point.

Making the same decision with very different clients.

Or doing something that feels so ordinary you nearly leave it out when explaining how you work.

Now you can see:

“I do keep doing that.”

That matters.

But it also creates a second question.

What do these pieces actually form?

Because seeing what repeats and understanding what it means are two different jobs.

That is what we work out in the Methodology Mapping Session.

You bring real client cases.

I bring the external pattern recognition.

Together, we identify:

➡️ What appears to matter;

➡️ What belongs together;

➡️ How the pieces relate;

➡️ And what body of work the evidence actually supports.

Then I turn what we uncover into three concrete outputs:

✔️ Your Methodology Name

✔️ Your Methodology Map

✔️ Your Methodology Readback

So instead of rebuilding the explanation from memory every time somebody asks:

“What makes your approach different?”

…you have something you can finally point to.

Something you can explain.

Something somebody else can understand.

Something you can build from.

And all it takes is one private Zoom session with me, Declan Connolly, and I’ll map it all out before your eyes.

Your Methodology Mapping Session is $497, and you can get yours by clicking the button below:

Your Work Can Finally Look As Developed From The Outside As It Feels To The People Who Experience It

Your existing clients may already know there is something different about the way you work.

They say things like:

“She just gets it.”

“There’s something different about the way she works.”

“You really have to experience it.”

That is useful once somebody has already worked with you.

It is much less useful before they have.

Because the person reading your website has not experienced your judgment.

Neither has the podcast listener.

The referral partner.

The programme buyer.

The copywriter.

They only have what can be seen from the outside.

And years of sophisticated practice can quickly collapse into:

➡️ Coach.

➡️ Therapist.

➡️ Consultant.

➡️ Facilitator.

➡️ Counsellor.

Or whatever label your market categorizes you by.

Maybe it’s accurate.

But it’s definitely incomplete.

A Methodology Mapping Session helps make the deeper structure of your work visible enough to understand before somebody has to experience it firsthand.

So the next website conversation can begin with something real.

✔️ The next copywriter can work from the actual structure of the work.

✔️ The next programme can be organised around something you already know you do.

✔️ The next podcast conversation has a body of ideas to explore.

✔️ The next referral partner has something more useful to say than:

“She’s brilliant. You should speak to her.”

And if you later want to create a book, training, certification or other intellectual property…

…you already have something to build from.

“I was certain I didn’t have a method. Then I saw it.”

Rosemary, Spiritual & Intuitive Healer, 20 years in practice [▶ 30 second clip]

You Don’t Need To Work Any Of This Out Before You Arrive

You do not need to arrive with a signature framework.

You do not need to know which patterns are important.

You do not need to organise twenty years of experience into three neat stages.

You do not need a methodology name.

You do not need a diagram.

You do not need a polished explanation of why your work works.

If you already knew all of that, you probably would not need the session.

Bring the cases.

That is the raw material.

You bring the work.

I bring the questions and outside perspective needed to see what may be difficult to see from inside it.

Real cases. Real decisions. Real evidence.

Not months of staring at a blank page.

Not forcing your work into somebody else’s framework template.

Not asking AI to manufacture something proprietary-sounding.

We start with what actually happened.

“I came in expecting a chat. I left with the shape of my whole practice.”

Simone, Stress Mastery Consultant, Canada [▶ 90 second clip: the moment it became something else]

Seeing What Repeats Is Not The Same As Knowing What It Means

You may already be able to look across several cases and say:

“I do that every time.”

Useful.

But is that particular move central to your work?

Or completely normal practice in your profession?

Are two apparently different moves expressions of the same deeper principle?

Does one decision make another possible?

Does the work follow a sequence — or change depending on what you notice?

That is interpretation.

And interpretation is difficult from inside your own expertise.

The thing you have done hundreds of times no longer feels unusual.

A decision another practitioner might find fascinating can feel like common sense.

A moment that changes the direction of the work can barely register as a decision.

Which is why:

Why Your Work Works helps you see what repeats.

The Methodology Mapping Session helps you see what matters, how the pieces relate and what they form.

“Forty-five years — and the first time it’s had a shape I can name.”

Resa, Family Mediator & Therapist [▶ 2 minute clip]

We Follow The Work. Not A Framework Template.

We do not begin with:

“What should your three-step methodology be?”

…and then force your experience to fit the answer.

We begin with your client work.

What did you notice?

What did you do next?

What made you change direction?

Why did you slow something down?

Why did you choose not to intervene?

What happened repeatedly across very different cases?

Then we look at the relationships between those pieces.

Some methodologies are sequential.

Some branch.

Some loop.

Some depend more on decision rules than stages.

Some contain a few organising principles that produce many different interventions.

You may discover that things you thought were unrelated are actually expressions of the same underlying idea.

Or that things you assumed belonged together do not.

That is fine.

The architecture comes from the work.

Not the other way around.

The standard is not:

“Does this sound impressive?”

It is:

“Yes. That is actually what I do.”

Not invented.

Not imposed.

Not manufactured.

Familiar — but finally visible as a whole.

“I get five different answers when people ask what I do. Now there’s one.”

Carla, Facilitator, Published Author & Storyteller, 13 years in practice [▶ 3 minute clip: the moment five answers became one]

“I Thought I Was Making It Up As I Went.”

Experienced practitioners often describe their work as instinctive because so much of the underlying judgment has disappeared into familiarity.

Tarnia put it this way:

“I do have a process that I do because I didn’t think I had one before. I just thought I was making it up as I went.”

Kerry said:

“It’s all been instinctive… I think, why is it working?

And now you’ve explained why it works.”

That is the kind of recognition we are looking for.

Not:

“Here is a clever new model you need to learn.”

But:

“That is already what I do. I just hadn’t seen it like that before.”

“Seeing it broken down like that blew me away.”

Ursula, Counselor [▶ 1 minute clip]

Why An Outside Perspective Helps

There is a strange asymmetry in expertise.

You can hear another practitioner explain something and immediately think:

“Do you realise how important that thing you just said is?”

But when you make an equally important judgment yourself, it can feel completely ordinary.

You have made it too many times.

You no longer experience it as a decision.

You simply do it.

My original training was in structural engineering.

It trained me to look beyond what is visible on the surface and ask:

What is actually carrying this?

That is the same lens I bring to your client work.

Not to impose a structure.

To identify the one the evidence supports.

“How did you do that? That’s the thing I could never put into words.”

Rosalind, Spiritual 12-Step Guide, New Zealand [▶ 2 minute clip: the moment she hears it said back to her]

What You Leave With

You do not leave with an interesting conversation that disappears into your notes.

After the session, I do the synthesis work required to turn what we uncovered into three concrete outputs.

1. Your Methodology Name

A clear working name for the body of work the evidence supports.

Not a clever label chosen in advance.

Not an acronym forced onto the work.

A name that gives you something concise to refer to instead of explaining the whole thing from scratch every time.

2. Your Methodology Map

A visual representation of how the main pieces relate.

Depending on your work, the map may show:

✔️ Recurring observations;

✔️ Key decisions;

✔️ Major interventions;

✔️ Decision points;

✔️ Sequence;

✔️ Loops;

✔️ Branches;

✔️ Organising principles;

✔️ Or the signals that cause the work to change direction.

Instead of the structure living entirely inside instinct…

…you can see it laid out in front of you.

3. Your Methodology Readback

A detailed written synthesis of what we found.

It explains the recurring pieces, which appear most significant, how they relate, and what seems to organise the work.

Grounded in your actual client cases.

So you are not left trying to reconstruct the logic of the session afterwards.

Your evidence, organised into something you can inspect as a whole.

“They call me the fairy godmother. I could never tell you how it works — now I can.”

Kerry, Leadership Coach, Institute of Managers and Leaders, Australia [▶ 3 minute clip: what’s actually behind the fairy godmother]

This Becomes The Starting Point For Whatever Comes Next

The Methodology Mapping Session does not rewrite your website, build your programme or write your book.

It gives those things something better to start from.

Instead of beginning with a professional title, a list of modalities or a blank page, you begin with a documented body of work.

Something real to position.

Something real to communicate.

Something real to organise around.

Something real to develop further.

That is the value of making the methodology visible.

You stop trying to recreate the logic of your work every time you want to do something new with it.

“I finally have language for it.”

Anna, Creatives Energy Cycle Practitioner [▶ 1 minute clip]

The Session Is One Hour. The Material May Have Taken You Years To Develop.

The average length of a session is around one hour, but with that said, they aren’t on a stop clock.

The mapping takes as long as it takes and is where we examine your work together.

The synthesis continues afterwards.

What we are examining represents years of:

➡️ Noticing;

➡️ Choosing;

➡️ Adjusting;

➡️ Testing;

➡️ Discarding;

➡️ Refining;

➡️ And making judgments so many times that they eventually became automatic.

Doing all this in one single session is possible because we are not trying to invent a methodology from scratch.

We are examining work you have already spent years developing.

The value is in distinguishing:

What repeats from what matters.

And then showing how those pieces fit together.

All it takes is one private Zoom session with me, and I’ll map it all out before your eyes.

A Few Important Questions

What if there isn’t one neat methodology?

Then I will not invent one.

The evidence may show one coherent methodology, two distinct bodies of work, a conditional structure, a methodology specific to one service, or something that is still developing.

We map what the work actually supports.

The goal is not to make your expertise look neater than it is.

The goal is to see it more accurately.

Do I need to complete Why Your Work Works first?

No.

Why Your Work Works helps you collect some of the evidence yourself.

But if you already know there is something recurring in your client work that you want help understanding, we can begin directly with your cases.

You do not need to solve the structure before the session.

That is the work we are doing together.

Why can’t I just map it myself?

You may be able to.

If you can already distinguish what merely repeats from what actually matters, separate normal professional practice from your own recurring judgment, and see the structure connecting the pieces, you may not need the session.

The difficulty is that the more familiar your expertise becomes, the harder those distinctions can be to make from inside it.

The session gives you an external set of eyes on material you have been looking through for years.

Is this a sales call for something else?

No.

There is no pitch at the end of the session.

The Methodology Mapping Session is a complete piece of work.

You leave with:

✔️ Your Methodology Name

✔️ Your Methodology Map

✔️ Your Methodology Readback

Keep them.

Use them.

Give them to your copywriter.

Take them into program planning.

Use them when you update your website.

Bring them into podcast conversations.

Use them when you begin thinking about a book, training or certification.

There may be other things you choose to build later.

Those are separate pieces of work.

Who is this for?

The Methodology Mapping Session is likely to be a good fit if:

➡️ You have substantial real client experience;

➡️ Your work has evolved beyond simply following what you were taught;

➡️ Much of your judgment now feels instinctive;

➡️ You can see recurring pieces but not yet the structure connecting them;

➡️ And you now have a reason for wanting the work to make sense beyond the client room.

It is probably not for you if you are very early in practice, want somebody to invent a marketable framework for you, or already have a methodology that is clearly mapped and doing everything you need it to do.

“I finally have words for what I’d been doing all along.”

Tarnia, Occupational Therapist & Strategic Intervention Coach [▶ 1 minute clip]

The Simplest Way To Decide

If you can see the recurring pieces in your work and you already understand what they mean and how they fit together, you probably do not need this.

But if you are looking at years of client experience thinking:

“There is definitely something here. I just can’t quite see the whole shape of it.”

that is exactly the problem the Methodology Mapping Session is designed to solve.

You bring the cases.

We identify what appears significant.

We look at how the pieces relate.

We map what the evidence supports.

And we give the body of work a name.

So instead of trying to explain years of expertise from memory…

…you have something you can point to.

Something you can show somebody.

Something you can explain.

Something you can build from.

Something that helps the depth of your work become visible before somebody has to experience it for themselves.

And the standard stays simple:

Not something impressive.

Something true.

All it takes is one private Zoom session with me, and I’ll map it all out before your eyes.
